Upgrade the Stage II standard to the Stage IV standard
The standardization of the machines had to be up due to regulations. This involved new trains where the existing OEM was insufficient.

Measuring is knowing
There was very little room to build in the systems. Therefore, a good drawing and plan of action had to be made in the first instance how we could get these systems.
Solution
Soot filters on locomotives
In the first instance, soot filters were built in and then a complete SCR system that exactly fit within the train.
